Young Thug is responding to allegations from the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, which has filed a motion to revoke his probation due to claims of threatening behavior.

Court documents obtained by Complex on Wednesday reveal that prosecutors accuse Thug of engaging in actions that pose a danger to witnesses and prosecutors, undermine ongoing legal proceedings, and justify an immediate probation revocation.

Thug addressed the motion on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “I don’t make threats to people. I’m a good person, and I would never condone or participate in threatening anyone. I’m all about peace and love.”

Earlier this week, the rapper from Atlanta shared a photo of Marissa Viverito, an investigative analyst for the Atlanta Police Department, with the caption, “Biggest liar in the DA office.” The motion claims that, following Thug’s post, Viverito’s home address, as well as her parents’ address, were posted online. “This post quickly went viral, reaching over 2 million views, generating thousands of comments and retweets, many of which included direct threats to Investigator Viverito and her family,” the motion alleges.

One user on X reportedly commented: “If the hate is really real then pull up on her mama crib,” and shared an image of Viverito’s mother’s residence.

The motion further asserts that this manipulation of public opinion via social media is meant to obstruct justice, intimidate witnesses, and threaten those involved in enforcing the law. It also mentions that “hours later, another post appeared threatening the assassination of District Attorney Fani Willis.”

In response to these accusations, Thug’s lawyer, Brian Steel, issued a statement defending his client. “It is never acceptable to threaten anyone with death,” Steel said, as reported by WSB-TV. “The prosecution’s motion to revoke Jeffrey’s probation is unfounded and should be swiftly dismissed. It is reckless to file such a motion when Jeffrey has done nothing to breach any terms of his probation or threaten any witness.”

While the reason behind Thug, born Jeffrey Williams, posting about Viverito remains unclear, it is important to note that she was a witness in the YSL trial, which charged 28 individuals, including Thug, with conspiring to violate Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act.
