Jorja Smith has confirmed details of her third studio album, What Are the Odds, due out August 21 via her label FAMM. The British singer paired the announcement with the release of lead single “Alive,” a collaboration with Wizkid accompanied by a Paris-shot video from director Gabriel Trautmann. Described as a giddy love song built around intricate, hypnotic percussion, the track offers a preview of an LP that reportedly moves across a range of club-rooted styles — UK garage, grime, 2-step, UK funky, soulful house, and Afro house.

The 12-track album reunites Smith with producer P2J, who also helped shape her 2023 record Falling or Flying. In comments to press, Smith described the sessions as unplanned and instinct-driven, saying the sound simply emerged from experimenting with garage, grime, and house influences alongside P2J. The tracklist includes a feature from grime artist Devlin on “This City,” making him the only guest besides Wizkid. Notably, the album’s release date lines up with Smith’s co-headlining set alongside Tems at All Points East Festival.
